One of the highlights of my freelance journey has been working with I Stand With My Pack, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that rescues and rehomes animals. Their mission to advocate for animal rights and welfare is something I deeply respect, and I was honored to contribute to their digital presence.

Objectives

The client approached me with a goal to:

• Modernize their outdated website
• Improve user experience for potential adopters and donors
• Create a responsive, mobile-friendly design
• Implement basic SEO best practices to improve visibility

My Role

I led the web design and SEO optimization aspects of the project. Here’s a breakdown of what I delivered:

• Migrated and rebuilt the site using WordPress for easier content management
• Designed a fresh, clean, and emotionally engaging layout
• Focused on clear CTAs for donations, volunteering, and adoption

✅ SEO Optimization

• Performed keyword research and implemented on-page SEO
• Optimized image alt tags and site speed
• Structured URLs and added meta descriptions across key pages

Results

Since launching the new website, the organization has seen:

• Increased user engagement and time spent on site
• More inquiries through the adoption and volunteer forms
• Higher visibility on Google for key search terms like “dog rescue LA” and “adopt a dog in California”
